Friendly is a private app for planning get-togethers with your friend group and settling up afterwards. These are the house rules. By creating an account you agree to them.

The short version. Be decent to each other. No harassment, hate, sexual content, spam, or anything illegal. Anyone can report a comment or photo, we review every report within 24 hours, and accounts that break these rules are removed.

Who can use Friendly

You must be at least 13 years old. You're responsible for keeping your password private and for what happens under your account.

Your content

Everything you post stays yours. You give Friendly permission to store it and show it to the people you've shared it with (your groups and event guests), which is the only reason we store it. Don't post anything you don't have the right to share, including other people's photos without their OK.

What's not allowed

There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. That includes:

Harassment, bullying, threats, or targeting someone.
Hate speech or content that attacks people for who they are.
Nudity, sexual content, or graphic violence.
Spam, scams, impersonation, or misleading money requests.
Anything illegal, or that encourages illegal activity.

Reporting and moderation

Every comment and photo has a Report button. Reported content is hidden from you immediately, and you can block the person so you never see their posts.
We review every report within 24 hours. Content that breaks these rules is removed, and repeat or serious offenders lose their account.
Hosts can remove guests from events, and group owners can remove members, at any time.

Money

Friendly keeps track of who paid what and who owes whom. It does not move money. Venmo, Apple Cash, and any other payment app you open from Friendly are separate services with their own terms. Amounts in Friendly are whatever you and your friends typed in; check them before you pay.

AI-generated images

Cover images you generate are created by an AI model from the description you type. They may be imperfect or unexpected. Don't use them to depict real people in a misleading or harmful way.

The service

Friendly is provided as-is, for free, and we do our best to keep it running and your data safe. We may change or discontinue features, and we may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms. To the extent the law allows, Friendly isn't liable for plans that fall through, money that goes unpaid between friends, or losses arising from use of the app.
