Accounts

I can't sign in.

Sign-in uses the email and password you created the account with. Emails aren't case-sensitive; passwords are. If you're stuck, email us from the address on the account and we'll help.

How do I delete my account?

Open your profile (tap your name at the top right) and choose Delete my account. It removes your profile, sign-in, notifications, and takes you out of your groups. You can also email us and we'll delete it within 7 days.

Groups and invites

I was invited but don't see the group.

Invites are matched by email. Sign in with the exact address the host invited; the invite then appears at the top of every screen with a Join button.

How do I invite someone who isn't on Friendly?

From a group, choose Invite and enter their email, or use Text someone an invite. From an event, use Text invite; with "Anyone with the link can join" on, they can sign up and join straight from the link.

Events

Can I change an event after creating it?

Hosts and co-hosts can tap Edit on the event page for the title, date, time, place, and details.

Where do photos, polls, and the playlist live?

On the event page, below the guest list. Everyone on the guest list can add to them.

Money

How does splitting work?

Add an expense and pick who splits it, or scan the receipt to assign each line to whoever had it; tax and tip split in proportion. The Money tab shows who owes whom and offers Venmo and Apple Cash shortcuts. Friendly never moves money itself; tap Record after you've paid so balances update.

Notifications

In the iPhone app, notifications can be turned on or off any time in iOS Settings → Friendly. Turning them off doesn't affect anything else.

Reporting content

Every comment and photo has a ⚑ Report button. Reported content is hidden from you immediately, you can block the person, and we review every report within 24 hours. See the Terms for what's not allowed.
